The lush and well-kept garden has been restored to reflect how it looked when Sigrid Undset lived here in the 1930s.
After Sigrid Undset bought the property, she immediately set out to create a garden. This was no small task – around 1,500 loads of stone had to be removed before the work could begin.
A walk through the garden is a rewarding experience. It features beautiful perennial beds, orchards, herb gardens, steps and gravel paths. You are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and birdsong.
